Skate Canada Announces 2013-2014 National Team
Skate Canada announced it’s 2013-14 National team earlier today. To be named to the National Team a skater must finish in the top five in senior singles, pair and ice dance disciplines at the Canadian Figure Skating Championships, or be added at the discretion of the International Committee. These skaters may be considered to represent Canada at international competitions. Their appointment to the national team is effective from June 1, 2013 through to April 30, 2014. The six ice dance teams named to the Canadian National team are:

Kaitlyn Weaver, 24, Waterloo, Ont. – Houston, TX. & Andrew Poje, 26, Waterloo, Ont.
Piper Gilles, 21, Toronto, Ont. – Colorado Springs, CO. & Paul Poirier, 22, Toronto, Ont.
Nicole Orford, 20, Burnaby, B.C. & Thomas Williams, 22, Vancouver, B.C.
Alexandra Paul, 21, Barrie, Ont. & Mitchell Islam, 23, Barrie, Ont.
Kharis Ralph, 21, Toronto, Ont. & Asher Hill, 22, Toronto, Ont.
