New Year’s Cup: Greetings from Bratislava!

One of our favorite blogging teams, Tanja Kolbe & Stefano Caruso, send us news from Bratislava, Slovakia and the New Year’s Cup.

We finally arrived to Bratislava and Barbara, our coach, called us telling that 5 of the 10 couples signed in for this competition withdraw (3 of them today).

After all the stress getting ready for this competition so early in January, in the end we have 5 nations and 5 couples, but no points because just one other couple is missing. 
This is not fair, especially to withdraw the day before the competition.  At least, if we would have known before, we could have stayed in Berlin and worked more in preparation for the European Championships.

Our federation is paying money to let us compete, not even speaking about the organization committee here that has to pay all the officials, organizing all the event and so on. 

We don’t know what to say, something in the rules has to change. It happened already 2 years ago in Olomouc.
