JGP Courchevel: An Amazing Experience
As I’m sitting here in the Amsterdam airport, waiting for our flight home, I am reminiscing on what an amazing experience we had. We both had so much fun performing our programs for the first time on an international stage. Now that I think about it, I think that’s the most fun I’ve ever had competing! We skated well, and it was a great way to make our international debut. Now we are looking forward to getting home and back to training.
I couldn’t have asked for better teammates! We had such a supportive and fun team, and we became like family. From singing to “It’s Raining Men” in the rink (it was played at least 50 times a day!), to being background dancers for Vanessa’s exhibition program to “Call Me Maybe,” and even deciding we all wanted to be Jason Brown for Halloween, Team USA had the best time together!
It was so sad to leave this morning (at 2 am, nevertheless) because we had become such amazing friends! The whole experience was absolutely amazing, and I couldn’t have wished for a better first jgp!
